The United States is using La Ukrainian military aid to “rest in peace” Putin: Trudeau – Country

The United States suspended military aid due to deepening rifts between the two countries, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reiterated Canada's firm support for Kiev, in a sharp contrast with Washington.
Trudeau said in a reporter's speech Tuesday that the United States appears to be more aligned with Russia during the ongoing war, stressing that Canada's continued support for Ukraine will not shake its opposition to Russian aggression.
“We know who our friends are, and we know who our opponents are. There is no doubt that Vladimir Putin and his attacks are not only against Ukraine, but also the rules-based international order, about the founding principles of the United Nations, are opponents of Canada,” Trudeau said.
“Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada, with their closest partners and their closest friends and allies. Meanwhile, they are talking about actively working with Russia and comparing it with a lie, murdered dictator Vladimir Putin. Make that make sense,” he added.
Trudeau's comments were posted after the White House suspended all military aid to Ukraine after an explosive encounter between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During the intense exchange in front of the camera, Trump told Zelenskyy to reach an agreement with Russia to end the war in Ukraine or “we go out.”

Trump and U.S. Vice President Judd Vance also accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War III” and told him that he must be more grateful for the aid of the United States during his three-year siege against Russia.
As Washington continues to distance himself from Ukraine, Trudeau said he has met with European allies over the past few weeks to talk about many topics, including “defending Ukraine’s defense of rules-based orders.”
“But also get along with each other in a more challenging and uncertain world,” he said.
Zelenskyy landed on X on Tuesday and posted his meeting with Trump “not going as it is.”
“It's a pity that this way happened. Now it's time to make things right. We want future collaboration and exchanges to be constructive,” he said.
“I want to reaffirm Ukraine's commitment to peace. None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to get into the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. No one wants peace more than the Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump for a sustained peace.”

Ukraine also said that their troops could occupy the battlefield after the United States expressed its aid to Kiev.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said Kiev still has efforts to supply its troops.
“Our military and government have the ability to maintain the situation on the front line, the tools,” he said.
During three years of war, Ukraine relied on US and European military aid to block larger, better enemies, killing and wounding hundreds of thousands of soldiers on both sides and weakening Ukrainian cities.
According to the nonpartisan federal budget, the U.S. Congress has approved $175 billion in Ukrainian aid since the Russian invasion three years ago.
