Delta plane crashed, turned upside down when landing in Toronto from Minneapolis

First responders are responding to a crash involving a Delta Air Lines aircraft that arrived at Toronto Pearson Airport from Minneapolis-ST on Monday afternoon. Paul International Airport, eventually hanging upside down in cold conditions.
The Federal Aviation Administration said all 80 people on Flight 4819 operated by the Effort Airlines were evacuated.
Peel Regional Care Service confirmed to CBS News that 15 patients have been taken to the hospital. Among these injuries, one child and two adults were seriously injured. Officials said the remaining injuries were mild to moderate.
All crew and passengers have been considered.

The Transport Safety Commission of Canada confirmed it is deploying a team to investigate the accident. The National Transportation Safety Commission and the FAA said they will send investigators to us to assist the TSB in conducting the investigation.
Delta Air Lines later released more information, saying the solo accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. CST. The four people on the boat were crew members.
“The initial report was that no deaths were reported. Several injured customers were transported to local hospitals. Our main focus was on caring for those affected,” Delta said.
The CWA Association of Flight Attendants issued the following statement: “The AFA crew is on this flight. There are no deaths reported. Please do not speculate on this incident, as everyone is committed to collecting information and supporting the relevant personnel.”
Doug Ford, the Ontario premiere, said he was “reassured” that there were no casualties.
“Provincial officials are in contact with airports and local authorities and will provide any assistance needed,” Ford said.

Meteorologists say the snowfall in Toronto, visibility at the time of the incident dropped to 6 miles, winds at 20 mph and gusts up to 37 mph. The temperature is much lower than the freezing point of 17°F.
Endeavor Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
