The Toronto Marlies announce additions to the club’s hockey operations and coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 season as Chris Bourque Has been appointed as Assistant General Manager and Denver Manderson and Greg Moore Has been hired as assistant coach.
Assistant General Manager, Toronto Maple Leafs Ryan Hardy Will continue to oversee hockey operations with support from the Assistant General Manager Mike Dixon Bourque and coach Steve Sullivanwhose coaching staff also includes assistant coaches Mark GiordanoGoalkeeper coach Hannu Toivonen and video coaching Nick Biamonte.
Bourque, 40, will also serve as the Maple Leafs’ director of college recruiting. He initially joined the Maple Leafs’ scouting staff in 2022 as a college free agent scout.
Bourque, who will be inducted into the American Hockey League Hall of Fame in 2026, was a three-time Calder Cup champion, two-time AHL scoring champion and MVP of the regular season and Calder Cup playoffs during his career. He totaled 251 goals and 495 assists for 746 points in 794 games with Portland, Hershey, Providence, Hartford and Bridgeport, and was named to the AHL All-Star First Team three times.
Bourque also ranks among the league’s all-time playoff leaders in assists (83, first), points (118, tied for third) and games played (138, second), winning titles with the Bruins in 2006, 2009 and 2010.
Manderson, 37, originally joined the Maple Leafs as a team consultant in the 2017-18 season and was promoted to a development coach in the 2023-24 season, working exclusively with NHL clubs. He has also worked with the Guelph Storm (OHL) and the University of Guelph (USports) in various capacities to support player development and skills training.
Manderson will also serve as the Maple Leafs’ Director of Minor League Development, overseeing the Marlies’ player development protocols in partnership with the development and support staff.
Moore, 42, returns to the Marlies after three seasons in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. During his tenure with NTDP, he won silver (2023-24) and bronze (2025-26) at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and bronze (2024-25) at the IIHF World U18 Championship. The Lisbon, Maine, native appeared in 377 AHL games during a 10-year career with the Hartford Wolf Pack, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Syracuse Crunch, Springfield Falcons and Adirondack Phantoms and was named an AHL All-Star in 2008. He also played in 10 NHL games with the New York Rangers and Columbus Blue Jackets.
Prior to joining the NTDP, Moore served as head coach of the Marlies from 2019 to 2023, compiling a 107-91-8-6 record and leading the North Division in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic.
