LeBron James’ free agency saga continues, and Shamus Charania provides the latest intel on where the former Lakers star might go next.
The NBA world is waiting with bated breath to see where LeBron will spend the final years of his basketball career.
But Shams said don’t hold your breath for too long.
“I talked to Rich Paul, [James’] Long time agent, this morning. Rich Paul made it clear to me that the choice right now is LeBron James’s…it’s not decided yet, it’s not chosen yet. There’s no timetable right now,” Charania said on ESPN.
Shams noted that teams in the running include the Warriors, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, 76ers and Miami, while confirming that Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia are the current “focal points” for LeBron and his team.
Many are frustrated with the way LeBron is dragging things out.
Adam Silver even publicly asked James to speed up the process so that the league can finalize the schedule.

Josh Peter of USA Today thinks Jordan never will.
“James likes to be in the conversation as the GOAT of the NBA, and he deserves it. But can you imagine Michael Jordan making this decision? Or any of the greatest players in NBA history?” Peter said.
“It dragged on longer than Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey.'” But the saga was missing a heroic figure, Odysseus.
“On the court, James is a hero, a four-time NBA champion, a four-time MVP, the league’s all-time scoring leader. But there’s nothing heroic about the process.”
Ultimately, LeBron holds all the cards now, and he knows it.
From where he was sitting, it was a good position and he seemed happy with it.
The decision may drag on for some time.
