Ottawa Senators acquire forward William Eklund and Kaspar Harttunen and unsigned draft picks. Brandon Swoboda From the San Jose Sharks in exchange for the ninth overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
The 21-year-old Haltunen played 69 games as a rookie for the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda in the 2025-26 season, scoring 16 goals, 19 assists and 35 points. He also scored a goal in two Calder Cup playoff games.
The Helsinki, Finland, native was selected by the Sharks in the second round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
