Cleveland once again used its suffocating defense to beat Toronto 4-0 on Wednesday night to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five North Conference finals.

Owen Silinger and hudson farthing The visiting team scored in the first quarter and took a 2-0 lead. Zach Sochenko (5-1) made 16 saves, his first shutout since Nov. 29, 2024 — also against the Toronto Raptors.

The Monsters defeated the Marlies 30-16, holding the Raptors to 20 or fewer field goals for the third consecutive time.

Justin Pearson and Michael Pitiya The game ended with an empty-net goal late in the third quarter.

Artur Akhtiamov (5-4) made 26 saves for the Marlies.
