Grand Rapids Griffins sign guard Marcus Crawford Signed a contract with the American Hockey League through the 2026-27 season.
Crawford is the ECHL MVP, outstanding defensive player and scoring champion in the 2025-26 season. He played 70 games for the Kansas City Mavericks, contributing 14 goals, 72 assists, 86 points and a +49 rating. He scored 14 points in 17 playoff games, leading Kansas City to the Kelly Cup finals.
Entering his ninth professional season, Crawford made his Grand Rapids debut in 2018 and went scoreless in eight games with the club. He went on to play 350 games in the ECHL with Kansas City, Orlando and Toledo, totaling 53 goals and 207 assists for 260 points. Crawford also played two seasons with Cardiff City (EIHL), scoring 112 points in 108 games and being named the league’s best defensive player in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
