Vegas Golden Knights named Ryan Craig The team’s head coach.
Craig, 44, spent the past three seasons as head coach of the NHL affiliate Henderson Silver Knights. Under Craig, Henderson’s win total increased each season with Craig on the bench, culminating in a 39-21-7-5 record (90 points) in 2025-26 and a berth in the Calder Cup playoffs.
Prior to joining Henderson, Craig served as an assistant coach with the Golden Knights for six seasons, helping the team win the 2023 Stanley Cup championship.
Craig was an AHL captain in nine of 14 professional seasons with Springfield, Norfolk, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Cleveland, leading the Monsters to the Calder Cup championship in 2016. He played 711 games in his AHL career, scoring 172 goals and 188 assists for 360 points.
Craig was also a two-time recipient of his team’s IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year Award and was selected as captain of the Western Conference team for the 2017 AHL All-Star Classic in Lehigh Valley.
Craig was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2002 and played in 198 National Hockey League games with Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and Columbus.
