Some of the top contenders for the American Hockey League (AHL) Calder Trophy still look pretty shaky. The Calder Cup playoffs have sent the Providence Bruins (first overall), Ontario Reign (fourth) and Charlotte Checkers (fifth) home early along with the North Division champion Laval Rocket.
