“Stable Snow” Falls in Amarillo's NWS Office

On Saturday morning, April 5, the snow steadily dropped Amarillo, Texas, before a few inches of snow fell in Panhandles in Texas and Oklahoma.

The video shows conditions at the NWS office in Amarillo around 7 a.m., the NWS said. “Welcome to our winter wonderland in April…,” the agency wrote in the video title on social media.

Until Saturday night, Amarillo is expected to see three to four inches of snow, as well as wind gusts of 45 mph.

The NWS said temperatures would drop below freezing on Saturday night, so “any remaining snow piles” could “refrozen overnight.” Image source: NWS Amarillo via Storyful
