2021 NBA champion Khris Middleton talks about the Bucks' traded him to Wizards Kyle Kuzma.
Middleton is quite ironic about the Bucks this week, who played his first game for Washington.
This is his first time in 12 seasons for a team outside the Bucks, and it's something he's still working on to reach a deal.
“Yes, it's a range,” Middleton said of the emotions he continued to feel sports. “Like, this is a cycle I've gone through a lot of times. I'm trying to get out of this cycle now because it's over and there's no point in really going on this path. But it's definitely anger. Absolutely like sadness. Like denying, “Why do they do this? “Questions on their decisions and things like that.”
“But I think it's healthy for me to think about all of this stuff and try to bottle it and put it in a positive stuff. For me, it's starting from here. It can help these guys get them The foundation and help them grow this organization like I did to the Bucks.”
The 33-year-old had offseason surgery on both ankles and had been injured frequently over the past three seasons, so he understands why the Bucks wanted to trade him.
“I have a lot of opportunities,” Middleton said. “I mean, that's how I've seen it. My time runs out. That's so easy.
“I mean, I can say my time was running out a long time ago. They held on to my potential and believed in the work they saw. But I think this time is, we think a different thing about our team moving forward The route is better. I do nothing, but respect that.”
His former teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo made a joke on his first face-to-face meeting, but it was obvious that the Greek freak would miss Middleton.
“He didn't make the jersey look good at all,” Antetokounmpo said with a smile. “It's funny. We laughed a few on the court. I miss him a lot. I definitely miss that guy.”
