American influencer who snatched baby bags from moms may have canceled his visa – Country

An influential American hunting man who has aroused anger after picking up a baby kangaroo in Australia and taking it away from her mother, now has the potential to lose her Australian visa as an investigation into her behavior.

Sam Jones, who has nearly 100,000 Instagram followers, is now under scrutiny, and Australian Interior Minister Tony Burke said his department is “complying with the conditions of the Jones visa” to determine whether “immigration laws have been violated.”

“I can't wait to see the back of this person,” Burke told the recording in a statement Thursday.

The video was shot at an unknown location on an unknown date and shows Jones running along Joey’s road, showing off baby animals.

“I caught a baby bag,” she told the camera, and screaming.

The video has since been removed, and Jones deleted her Tiktok account and set her Instagram to private.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called Jones' decision to separate Joey from his mother “angry” and challenged Jones to try to pick up one of his country's most dangerous animals.

“Maybe she might try some other Australian animals,” he said in a press conference when asked about the incident. “Pick up a baby alligator from the mother and see how you went there. Take another animal that can fight back instead of stealing the baby bag from the mother. See how you went there.”

In a statement to CNN, Burke said Jones may never be welcomed by his country again.

He emailed the media via email: “I would be surprised considering the level of scrutiny that would happen if she applied for a visa again, if she even disturbed her.”

“I don't want her to come back.”

Meanwhile, ecologists and wildlife experts expressed anger and disappointment at Jones' behavior, saying the separation of the baby and mother would trigger a stress response between the two.

“Feet the baby from the mother, escape it, hang in his hands, and sway there,” Barry Brook, an ecologist at the University of Tasmania, told CNN.

The Wombet Conservation Association said in a statement that it was shocked to see “bag bat Joey’s misfortune” when it was “amid the obvious “social media likes” snatch.”

“[Jones] Then put the fragile baby back on the country road, potentially making it dangerous to become a road killer. ” it stated in the statement.

It is a legally protected species in Australia. Native animals have a strong connection between mother and offspring.

“Kangaroos are not photo props or toys,” said Suzanne Milthorpe, head of the Australian World Animal Sanctuary campaign in a statement online.

“It's unacceptable and we're glad she was called. It's very likely that it's illegal to take a screaming baby woman from mothers, from state or state law.”
