In September 2023, the 28-year-old Roshin was stabbed 28 times by his brother while walking with his daughter in Eastern Dutch City Apeldoorn in the eastern Netherlands.
“The more terrifying ending of human life is hard to imagine. Her daughter saw her mother killing her mother in a very violent way,” the court verdict said.
In addition to the 25-year prison sentence of Peshang A, who was identified as 36, the court sentenced another brother and two cousins to participate in the murder case.
“The audio and chat messages sent to each other by these people showed that they together decided that the victim must die because she violated the honor of the family,” the court said.
After the victim divorced, the family wanted her to be in The Hague with her parents, but she chose to stay in Appeldoen with her daughter and began a new relationship.
“The four people then prepared together to carry out the plan, deliberately disengaging the rest of the families from the execution plan,” the verdict said.
Peshang A. reportedly tried to escape the court after the verdict, but was bound by police.
The court also ordered the four men to pay $73,000 to their daughter.
