Admirals' Ostler named AHL Player of the Week TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts … American Hockey League announced today Milwaukee Admirals defenseman Jordan Austell has been selected as Howies Hockey Video/AHL Player of the Week For the period ending March 29, 2026.

Ostler had four goals and an assist in four games last week, contributing to the Admirals' three dramatic comeback wins in overtime.

Ostler scored the game-winning goal Tuesday night to help Milwaukee erase four one-goal deficits and beat Grand Rapids 5-4 in overtime. He scored the game-tying goal with 4:48 left in regulation on Friday before the Admirals beat Henderson 3-2 in overtime and assisted on Milwaukee's lone goal in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Silver Knights. Then on Sunday, Ostler scored two goals in the third period, including the game-tying goal with 1:09 remaining, to help the Admirals beat Chicago 3-2 in overtime.

Austell, who has 20 points in his last 19 games, is currently tied for first among AHL defensemen in goals (14) and sixth in points (42) this season and is Milwaukee's only skater to appear in all 63 games with the team. He has set career highs in goals, assists and points and currently has 39 goals and 113 assists for 152 points in 259 AHL games with Milwaukee, Providence, Calgary, Bakersfield and Oklahoma City. The 12-year-old pro from Dearborn Heights, Mich., has skated in 408 games in the National Hockey League with games including Edmonton, Chicago, Arizona, Detroit, Calgary, Boston and Nashville, scoring 23 goals and 73 assists for 96 points.
