Vancouver Canucks acquire defender jack thompson Acquired from San Jose Sharks for linebacker Huget.
The 23-year-old Thompson has played 42 games for the AHL's San Jose Barracuda this season, scoring three goals and nine assists with a plus-13 rating.
The fourth-year pro has 20 goals and 71 assists for 91 points in 203 career AHL games with San Jose and Syracuse and was selected to the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic.
Thompson, originally a third-round pick of Tampa Bay in the 2020 NHL Draft, has four goals and six assists in 34 career NHL games with the Lightning and Sharks.
Wu, 25, is entering his sixth professional season after being selected by Vancouver in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft. This season he played 26 games for the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL, contributing 1 goal and 7 assists.
Over his career, Wu scored 22 goals, 69 assists and 91 points in 293 games with Abbotsford and Utica. He also appeared in 30 playoff games and won the Calder Cup in 2025 with the Canucks.
