LeBron James' winning streak continues as NBA reveals All-Star reserves

The NBA officially announced its All-Star Game reserves on Sunday, and even in a season filled with structural changes, one constant remains: LeBron James is still an All-Star.

James was selected as one of 14 substitute players by NBA head coaches and was selected to the All-Star for the 22nd consecutive time. Although his unprecedented 21-year career as a starter came to an end earlier this winter, the Los Angeles Lakers star continues to extend his own league-record streak of All-Star selections. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar ranks second all-time with 19 points.

The reserves reflect the league's depth in both divisions as the NBA prepares for its first three-team “America vs. the World” All-Star Game.

In the Eastern Conference, reserves include Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jaren Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks, Pascal Siakam of the Indiana Pacers, Norman Powell of the Miami Heat, Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors and Jalen Duren of the Detroit Pistons.

Members of the Western Conference include Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets, Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Deni Avdija of the Portland Trail Blazers and James.

The 2026 All-Star Game will be held on February 15 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. This will be the first time the event will be held at the Los Angeles Clippers' new arena.

Starting players are determined through a modified voting system, with fans accounting for 50 percent of the vote and NBA players and media panels each accounting for 25 percent. For the first time, there are no position requirements, whether starting or coming off the bench.

One of the closest games was in the Western Conference, with Victor Wembunyama and Anthony Edwards tied for the final starting spot with identical weighted points. Wembanyama received 1,965,462 fan votes to win the decider by a narrow margin over Edwards.
