The Colorado Avalanche have promoted Kim Weiss Serves as an assistant coach with the Colorado Eagles, the club's American Hockey League affiliate.

Weiss, 36, joined the Eagles on August 7, 2024 as a video coach.

Weiss, a native of Potomac, Maryland, is a guest coach with the Avalanche in the 2023-24 season and has worked in various capacities at the Avalanche's past four development camps. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Trinity College men's lacrosse program in 2023-24 and has coached the NAHL's Maryland Black Bears and AAA Washington Pride programs.
Weiss played at Trinity College, serving as team captain as a junior and senior and earning conference player of the year honors in 2010-11. She is a member of the NHL Coaches Association's Women's Coaches Development Program.
