Hawks promote Wes to assistant coach TheAHL.com

Weiss, a native of Potomac, Maryland, is a guest coach with the Avalanche in the 2023-24 season and has worked in various capacities at the Avalanche's past four development camps. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Trinity College men's lacrosse program in 2023-24 and has coached the NAHL's Maryland Black Bears and AAA Washington Pride programs.

Weiss played at Trinity College, serving as team captain as a junior and senior and earning conference player of the year honors in 2010-11. She is a member of the NHL Coaches Association's Women's Coaches Development Program.
