Bruins' Brown, Hawks' Megna to serve as All-Star captains TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts …President and CEO of the National Hockey League Scott Howson Providence Bruins forward announced today Patrick Brown and Colorado Eagles forward. Jason Megna Has been selected as the captain of this competition BMO presents 2026 AHL All-Star Classicwill be held February 10-11 in Rockford, Illinois.

Captains of the American Hockey League All-Star teams are selected annually by the league president in recognition of their outstanding leadership and service.

Brown, who hails from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, has played a 12-year career and has played 531 games in the AHL, scoring 103 goals, 163 assists and 266 points. Now in his second year as captain of the Bruins, Brown also spent three seasons with the Charlotte Checkers, leading the club to the 2019 Calder Cup championship, and was named the first captain of the Henderson Silver Knights in 2020-21 after serving as a reserve player with the Chicago Wolves in 2019-20. Brown currently ranks fourth in the AHL in scoring with 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in 30 games with Providence, and has 10 goals and 16 assists in 164 career NHL games against Carolina, Vegas, Philadelphia, Ottawa and Boston. This will be his first appearance in the AHL All-Star Classic.

Megna, who is in his sixth season with the Hawks (2019-23, 2024-) and his 14th career season, has 175 goals and 208 assists for 383 points in 579 AHL career games with Colorado, Providence, Hershey, Utica, Hartford and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native has been captain of the Eagles for four seasons, scoring a team-high 16 goals and nine assists in 30 games so far this season. Megna also played 204 games in the NHL with Boston, Anaheim, Colorado, Vancouver, New York Rangers and Pittsburgh, contributing 12 goals and 21 assists. He will play in the AHL All-Star Classic for the first time.
