Penguins' Xavi Pinard named AHL Player of the Week TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts …American Hockey League announced today Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Rafael Harvey Pinard has been selected as Howies Hockey Video/AHL Player of the Week Period ending December 28, 2025.

Harvey Pinard has a total of two goals and two assists in two games during the shortened holiday week to help the Penguins maintain first place in the Atlantic Division.

Harvey Pinard scored five goals and added an assist in the first period to help Wilkes-Barre/Scranton beat Hershey 5-2 on Saturday night. On Sunday, he scored twice to tie the game and hit a game-high seven shots in the Penguins' 4-3 shootout loss to Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Harvey Pinard played 29 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, scoring 7 goals, 7 assists, and achieving a team-high +12 rating. This is his first appearance with the Pittsburgh team since signing as a free agent on July 2, 2025. In 214 career AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Laval, the native of Jonquière, Que., has scored 58 goals and 82 goals. Assisted 140 points.

Harvey Pinard, who was originally selected by Montreal in the seventh round of the 2019 NHL Draft, has 17 goals and 14 assists in 84 career NHL games, all with the Canadiens.
