Blues, Kings trade forward | TheAHL.com

St. Louis Blues acquire forward Akil Thomas Acquired from Los Angeles Kings for forward Nikita Alexandrov.

Thomas played 19 games with the Ontario Reign of the AHL this season, scoring 4 goals and 9 assists. The sixth-year pro totaled 50 goals, 56 assists and 106 points in 176 AHL games with the Reign.

Thomas was the Kings' second-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. He represented the Kings in 32 games in the NHL, scoring 4 goals and 3 assists.

Alexandrov played 18 games for the AHL Springfield Thunderbirds this season and tied for the team lead with 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists). In 188 career AHL games with Springfield and Utica, he scored 61 goals and 82 assists for 143 points.

Alexandrov was drafted by St. Louis in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He has played 51 NHL games for the Blues in his career, contributing 3 goals and 6 assists.
