Kyrie Irving closes speculation about comeback

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving continued to recover from the ACL surgery, demanding patience. The 33-year-old, frankly speaking in a recent Twitch stream, later reposted to YouTube and highlighted by Hoopshype, made it clear that fans won't get the schedule anytime soon.

“I'm back without a schedule, so please don't ask me when I'm back,” Owen said. “Please don't badge me on all the questions, like 'Hey, what do you think about this if you're healthy by November?' Please don't have any questions, I'll be ready when I'm ready.

Irving tore his ACL in March, and while the recovery schedule may vary, most players usually return within 9 to 12 months. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd told reporters on Media Day that the veteran defender “does well” but stressed that he “don't plan ahead.”

Irving spoke publicly about his emotional rehabilitation, acknowledging uncertainty after the injury.

“And of course, there was doubt. Naturally, I have doubt like everyone else. But I was fueled by the next generation even more—because I know when I'm able to show the resilience, the authenticity, the ugly times that go on with rehab or coming back from injury—I feel like that will, in turn, spark the next brain or inspire the next person. Or inspire some of my ACL twins out there—you know, that tore their ACL and dealt with all of the rehabilitation.
