Don StevensThe long-term voice of the Rochester American and the long-standing step-by-step broadcast broadcaster in the history of the American Hockey League will retire in the 2025-26 season (he was on Rochester's microphone for 40 years).
Stevens will call all 36 home games this season and choose “road race” this season to end an outstanding career spanning 58 years of broadcasting.

“No one in our organization’s history has more synonyms for Amerks hockey than Don Stevens,” said Amerks vice president of commercial operations. Chad Barker. “For forty years, Don talks about some of the most memorable moments in the team’s history, and to this day his unique and unique appeal has made this day immortal.”
Stevens has called over 3,300 games as the team's main broadcaster, and he has witnessed the most memorable moments in the team's nearly 70-year history. After joining Rochester before the 1986-87 campaign, he remained the longest-lived broadcaster in the American Hockey League and served the organization with many abilities, including the Director of Public Relations, TV show hosts and radio talk show hosts. Stevens has been in seven Calder Cup finals, including the Amerks' 1987 and 1996 championships.
Stevens is Alta. In 2023, Amerks presented the news box with his honor in Blue Cross Arena’s news box.
