Klay Thompson opens to Warriors dynasty struggle

Dynasty often looks seamless from the outside, but Klay Thompson reminds fans that even the Golden State Warriors are not immune to internal friction during historic games.

Thompson looks back at his years with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Steve Kerr.

Although the Warriors won four titles between 2014 and 2022, Thompson admitted the journey was not without conflict.

“For us, there is a lot of melee, a lot of bad things, and the feelings hurt.” Showcased with Coop podcast. But at the end of the day, we know we just want to win,” Thompson said, “There are frictions sometimes, whether it’s Draymond and me, Stephen and me, or the coach and me. This is just part of it. Then you grow out of it. You are enough people to keep it on the court and be a professional. ”

He elaborated on the moments when these differences were not isolated, such as the fierce clash between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant or the infamous exercises involving Jordan Poole.

Instead, they are part of the daily run-in, competing with the highest level of competition.

The Warriors’ ability to convey these moments to success makes them one of the greatest dynasties in the NBA.

Thompson accepted the sacrifice during Kevin Durant’s tenure, just as Scottie Pippen and Kevin McHale did in the championship game.

Thompson said that brotherhood within Golden State is always stronger than friction. “It's just a part of it. You're growing from it,” he said. “You're a person who can leave this person on the court and be a professional.”
