Bucks re-signed fan favorite tanasis antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks bring back a familiar face. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Tanasis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a one-year, $2.9 million deal to rejoin the team.
The 32-year-old confirmed the news on social media, and his return was officially formal after he disappeared from injury last season.

Tanasis tore his Achilles apart during a workout in May 2024, making him wrong for a year and preventing him from attending the Paris Olympics with Greece.
He spent five seasons in Milwaukee before his injury, highlighted by the 2021-22 campaign, and averaged 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 48 games.
The signature looks small on paper, but has a significant impact. By bringing back Giannis’ older brother, the Bucks show that their franchise cornerstone has no plans to force a deal, at least not this season.
Giannis' future in Milwaukee has been a question mark as the Indiana Pacers bounced the Bucks from the first round of the playoffs.
Damian Lillard's injury in Game 4 of the series will only add to uncertainty. Milwaukee then gave up on Lillard and extended the $113 million remaining in his deal over five years. The financial move opens the room for the Bucks to sign center Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million contract.
Giannis is still trading at $58.5 million, with $63 million in 2026-27. The front desk in Milwaukee reportedly met with two MVPs to map their future, and while details of the conversation were not made public, signing his brother seemed to be part of the guarantee.
Giannis Antetokounmpo spent a full 12 years with the Bucks, winning two MVPs, the Defensive Player of the Year Award and won his first 50th year in 2021.
