Will Chris Paul go to the Dallas Mavericks next?

Chris Paul may play in another team next season, and the Dallas Mavericks may be ranked No. 1.
The 40-year-old point guard will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
Eric Pincus said Paul could happen again, this time from the San Antonio Spurs to the Mavericks.
“San Antonio may hope Paul is back because of who he is and how capable he is, but along with De'aaron Fox, Stephon Castle and defender Dylan Castle and defender Dylan Harper (Spurs No. 2 overall draft pick), the veterans can choose a team to give him a bigger chance of playing,” Pincus said.
The logic behind the prediction is related to the current situation in Dallas, explains Pinley: “While he has a close connection with Los Angeles (Lakes and Clippers) and his family has lived (don’t count them), he may be going to a team with the injured starting point guard.
Irving is expected to miss most of the 2025-26 season due to a tear of left ACL, creating a gap in point guards that Paul can fill seamlessly.
Despite his age group, CP3 played all 82 games for the Spurs last season, with an average of 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists, while shooting 42.7% from the field and 37.7% from the depths while shooting 92.4% from the field.
Paul is an All-Star Game and a member of the NBA’s top 75 list, and has played in seven different franchises throughout his legendary career, which will soon be added to the eighth place.
Marc Stein of Stein Line recently responded to Pincus's point of view, reporting that CP3 “is not expected to come back with the Spurs.”
