Cher's son Elijah Allman is unstable
Elijah Allman, son of pop idol Cher and songwriter Gregg Allman, landed in hospital this weekend, who responded to reports of a man being “unstable” in a house in the Mojave Desert.
Allman, 48, was “under evaluation by emergency medical staff,” officials said in a statement shared with people. The delegates also “put drugs at home” and the musician's son was taken to the hospital.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately respond to comments and other information from the Times on Monday, which is investigating the incident. The statement did not disclose whether drug use caused Allman's hospitalization, but broke the news that TMZ reported that he overdoseed on Saturday morning. Sources told the media Allman was “get the best care” and was “lucky to survive”.
Xueer's representative did not comment on the Times on Monday.
Allman's estranged wife Marieangela King expressed support for her husband and spoke about his “strong commitment to soberness and loyalty to those he loves” and in a statement to people. She admits that her spouse “has faced personal challenges in the past.”
“Like many, he continues to face his inner struggles – but it is important to recognize that he does this from a place of strength rather than failure.” “Although assuming that often colorizes the way his journey is portrayed, the reality is that Elijah remains rooted, focused and firmly committed to living with integrity and purpose.”
Allman has been open to his own sober struggles in the past, telling Entertainment tonight in a 2014 interview that his drug addiction started when he was even a teenager. “I mean what you do, that’s what everyone does,” he told Rob Marciano at the time.
“I [was] “Just trying to escape everything I've been in the past, that's when you turn to this drug, you know heroin and opium,” he said in 2014. He also recalls “some tight calls and some moments when they really feel the mortality edge.”
Details of his alleged drug use were in December 2023, when his mother proposed a bid to take over his financial situation. The Grammy-winning “Believe” singer accused her son of “basically unable to manage his own financial resources” due to serious mental health and substance abuse issues. Cher ended her bid for protection less than a year later and dismissed her petition in September 2024.
King filed a petition in April to divorce Allman in Los Angeles in Los Angeles with “irreconcilable differences.” The couple got married in December 2013 and had previously divorced when Allman filed a petition in 2021. In January 2024, he applied to reject the case without prejudice. Amid their ongoing relationship tensions, Kim stressed in a statement over the weekend: “I will always take root for him.
“My support is firm, from a deep respect for who he is his and the resilience he continues to show,” King said.
