Long before the West Village girl became a meme, this community was once known for something else: really good pasta. Now, one of the original innovative attractions is back, after a new location on the charming Cornelia Street (after a more casual concept on the Gotham West Market). Of course, the seasonal pasta you should order, especially the Garganelli with Peekytoe Crab, toasted summer pumpkin, lemon and bread crumbs; and the unusual Orecchiette, beets, English peas, mint and pecorino sweet. When it comes to cocktails, the menu tends toward Italian spirit and classic preparation. We recommend toasted orange Negroni spaghetti made with Campari, Carpano Antica and sparkling wine, followed by burnt orange marinated in sweet vermouth.
