Theft suspect is believed to be a robbery in which he was shot and killed by his accomplice

Officials said a theft suspect who was believed to have been shot at Linwood's home on Thursday morning was shocked by a resident.
Deputies were called to the 11,000 block of Linden Street after receiving a call for the burglary, officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
When deputies arrived, they found a man who was shot and killed at the scene.
Homicide detectives said they believed the man was one of about five men who entered the home at 1:26 a.m. in dark clothes. Authorities said the men were surprised by one of the resident in the house and ran around from the site, but one of them fired a gun inside the house and hit one of the suspects.
The identity of the deceased was not released.
Officials said the suspect was found driving north on Linden Street.
