19 arrested for stealing from a Georgia Mall
Nearly twenty people face nearly 40 charges after the sting of shoplifting in the Georgia mall.
Gwennet County police said they stinged at the shopping mall and its surrounding stores on Memorial Day weekend.
Channel 2 Gwinnett County Director Matt Johnson Officials from four districts worked directly with the store manager to try to capture shoplifters in the bill, it was learned.

During their two days at the mall, police arrested 19 people and distributed 12 felony charges and 27 misdemeanor counts.
“You will be punished. It will ruin your summer and you will have consequences,” CPL said. Juan Madiedo and Gwinnett County Police.
Police said they recovered $53,13.75 of stolen goods from 11 stores.

Police said students were strategically timed as they prepared for the summer vacation.
“It’s definitely the message we’re going to send to the community,” said McDido. “We want to make sure the kids drop out of school and they don’t want to go shopping.”
Investigators said two of the women, Demesha Brown and Jasmine Harris, had 12 proactive orders from several other jurisdictions.
They said Brown had an excellent arrest warrant in Cherokee County RICO charges.
Gwennett police said similar operations will continue throughout the summer.
