Amazon launches a powerful, affordable new blink video doorbell, but with a capture
Amazon has released a new version of its blink video doorbell, with new features and improvements from the previous generation. On top of that, it's still reasonably priced at just $60, especially if you compare it to something like Google's Nest Doorbell.
However, before placing an order, please know that it comes with a harvest. It may not be a big deal for everyone, but it may be something for some. Below, we will fill in new features through the updated blink doorbell and what you should know before purchasing.

What are the new features in the latest blink doorbell?
Despite some meaningful upgrades, there are a lot of differences to say the latest version of the blink doorbell. Again, at this price point, there are only too many expectations for video doorbells.
Starting from the top, there is a new “head to toe” HD live view with a 1:1 aspect ratio that gives you a more comprehensive view of what's coming up in front of your door. We thought it was the last chance to miss the wink doorbell, so it was a very welcome upgrade. Other updates to the video include an extended 150-degree field of view (up from 135 degrees) and resolution bumps from 1080p to 1440p for better viewing.
This time, you can also use IP65 ratings, so elements can be protected better.
Finally, someone found out Blink subscription planallows you to get an alert when an actual person is at your doorstep instead of an animal or other action.
Up to two years of life and included battery
The blink should also use the included AA battery for up to two years, which is also a promise made by previous doorbells, although we can’t test it throughout the time.
But, CNET's home security editor Tyler Lacoma has been testing the wink outdoor 4 camera with similar battery life. More than a year later, he said the camera will certainly reach a two-year rating before it needs to be replaced.
Synchronize modules and storage captures
We call it capture more than just functionality, but the new thing about using this blink doorbell model is that it is now necessary to use a synchronization module and does not include a synchronization module. You can buy a bundle of doorbell and sync modules for $70. This price still feels good, but if you want to store video feeds locally, you'll do it with this $10 sync module.
If you don't mind using the cloud, the basic $3 blink subscription allows you to store up to 60 days of video feed that you can access from the app. If you want more control over storage, you need to choose more expensive additions, such as Sync Module 2 or Sync Module XR.

Such gains may cause some people to stop when purchasing, but for those who don't mind using the cloud for storage, this shouldn't be a problem.
