One person died and 32 people were hospitalized in a hot crash between a travel bus and SUV

One morning after a fiery crash between a travel bus and an SUV on Highway 60 in the Mountain Heights, 32 people were hospitalized one morning.
Authorities were sent to the scene at 5:07 a.m. Sunday. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the SUV was already engulfed in flames when they got there.
The SUV driver was trapped inside and could not survive the crash.
The flames did not spread to 63 people, including the driver, buses, including the driver, according to the California Highway Patrol.
32 people were taken to the hospital, at least two in critical condition. The other 31 passengers were cleaned up and returned home.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Photos at the scene showed that the bus's windshield completely collapsed and the front bumper was smashed.
Westbound Highway 60 between Azusa Avenue and Hacienda Boulevard was closed for more than two hours when firefighters participated in the Passenger and Health Protection Center's investigation of passengers and health protection personnel.
In mid-morning, some lanes reopened to traffic.
