Heat coaches Erik Spoelstra and Tyler Herro react to the first game

Erik Spoelstra and Tyler Herro spoke honestly about a game of downturns in enthusiasm for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers are so good at offense that Spoelstra knows his team will have to try to find ways to slow them down.

“You're going to playoffs, there's going to be dynamic offensive teams,” Spoelstra said. “And their guys drive and break dribble, they can shoot threes, and they're pretty good, too.

Hero also talked about his opponent's offense, which is a major area to focus on.

“They are a good offensive in history,” Hero said. “Obviously, there's a reason they're the first in the East. I think we lack a lot of communication, just psychological mistakes that we can cover up. Obviously, two days between two days will give us time to watch the movies and then practice and then clean up what we need to clean up.”

The shooting guard ended the night with 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists – the team's star scorer has not been enough since Jimmy Butler left.

“I just kept on striving for my own shot,” Hero said. “Obviously, they denied me, took all my courts, just tried to make things hard. But we faced that all year round. I was just going to be better.”

After Cleveland's victory, Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland pointed to his team's “competitive spirit” that set them apart from Miami.

“Our competitive spirit,” Garland said. “Actually, we played 48 minutes tonight, and it was the whole game. With the running and really coming back to swing ourselves. So of course we can take the run. Of course, we can bounce the ball well. I think it's the 2nd game that can really be limited. Try to limit them to one shot, not to last two or more, not multiple times, keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep working hard. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running. Being running. Being running hard. Be as much as you can.”
