Pete Hegseth shares Yemen attack plan with his wife (brother)

The New York Times reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth apparently shared “details” about the Yemen bombing and conducted a second group chat on the signal, which included his wife, brother and lawyer. Exit talked to “Four People with Chat Knowledge.”

The shared information includes the “flight schedule for the Houthis F/A-18 Wasp for Yemen's Houthis” and is more or less the same as the information unexpectedly shared by Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg.

Hegseth's wife Jennifer, a former Fox News producer, has been criticized for attending sensitive conferences with her husband. His brother Phil Hegseth and attorney Tim Parlatore work in the Pentagon.

The newspaper also noted that unlike the first group chat, the second chat was created by Hegseth. “That included his wife, who in January's personal and professional inner circle, about a dozen people were called “Defense|huddle” before confirming the Secretary of Defense, said people familiar with the chat. He used his private phone instead of his government to access signal chat.”

The first group chat was created by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who also said he was responsible for adding Goldberg to the group. On March 30, Goldberg told Kristen Welker on “Meeting Media” that he was “not worried” to be bullied by the group.

“There is a script, you know it’s a journalist, and I’m not the only journalist who is targeting this kind of attack – when they do something wrong, they keep attacking and attacking the messenger.”

The editor noted that the weird part of the story was “I didn't actually do anything. I wanted to claim that I was some of the bold investigative journalists here. All I did was answer Mike Waltz's request for message on Signal, and the rest was on my phone.”

Pete Hegseth shared Yemen attack plans with his wife, and the brother in the second signal appeared on TheWrap for the first time.
