Austin Reaves wins OKC with Lakers: “We're locked”

The Lakers beat the West's top seed – the Thunder and La Star Austin Reaves talked about the unhappy victory.

“Yes, it's huge. I believe they've got the best record in basketball and in the standings you can go from third to eighth, I believe in eighth in the moment of fingers. So for us, we're here and play a great team the way we're going tonight, we can be big and hopefully we can continue that momentum into Tuesday.”

OKC was 34-5 at home in the season before the loss. With just a few days away from the playoffs, it's a big win for purple and gold, and Austin Reaves will surely win some positive wins.

“Yes, whenever you play like this, no matter who you are playing, you can go and look at those things and see what you can build. On the offense, there isn't much chaos for us, and we don't have a lot of breakdowns on defense. I feel like we keep them to the minimum range tonight. I think we're really free throws.

Defense is the key to victory, and although the Lakers have a bit of a tedious D in recent games, there is nowhere to be found this time.

“Defensively, we're locked, and then obviously it helps when you shoot from 3 shots is also very good. But I think it starts on the defensive end. Locking, stopping, running, and then when we slow down we get stuck in something that works for us.”

For now, Luka, LeBron and Reaves are questionable in their second showdown against the Thunder on Tuesday.

Since the trade, the Lakers played back-to-back games with the Mavericks in their first game in Dallas the next day at Luka.
