Kansas City, Missouri – Kansas City Royals' new stadium talks are likely to accelerate again.

Sherman has been insisting that royals get a new stadium before leasing in 2031, first proposed the idea of a new stadium November 2022.
Back in April 2024, Jackson County residents voted to extend sales tax, which would help pay for renovations at Arrowhead Stadium and provide a new downtown court for royals.
As the vote failed, the royal family floated elsewhere, most notably Washington Square Parknear the heart of Kansas City. The park is located at the corner of Pershing and Grand, a block north of the Crown Center and a block east of Union Station.

Other locations that gained attention throughout the subway are East Village, crossing the state line into Johnson County.
It's an interesting development as the royals approach the upcoming season.
