Dark Ages is my first game in this series – Absolute Tear (and Tears)

I've always known doom It is a highly respected video game franchise. Still, until now, I haven't watched it from the field until now – seeing the fusion of wildness, let's play in the chaotic runs and gunfights of my poor college days, witnessing people playing it on unconventional computer utensils, and blasting the heavy metal original soundtrack of composer Mick Gordon's Mick Gordon's effort to play in my leisure time, it's my leisure time, it's so hard. doom (2016).

Now, ID Software and Bethesda Softworks’ latest work in the 32-year-old first-person shooter series, Doom: Darkness Age, a prequel to its newly named trilogy – despite the two action genres of weddings, I had a high affinity for science fiction and fantasy, and I finally got into the depths of the series with the newly released game on my Playstation 5.

I've entered Doom: The Dark Ages Expect its signature FPS chaos to mix with my favorite demons, style switch battles Devil May Cry– I use it as an indicator for the action game. I'm getting even more crazy: one doom The game also guided other great people in some way Halo and War Gears But still pure, no doubt doomfull of relentless movements and Satan's madness, unlike anything I've played before.

After sleeping for too long in this series, I am now awake –doom Absolutely fucking rock.

The deliciousness of science fiction and dark fantasy

As a prequel, Doom: The Dark Ages Putting players in its chaos lays the foundation for a total war between alien overlords, medieval warriors and hell's demons. The match saw the Doom killer, under some mind control, get caught in a battle in which Tonka-Toy built Knights (equipped with high-tech communications like the Avengers) fight against a tribe led by the wobble Dracula's muscular armor. Early on, Doomsday Killer treated it with the same attraction as Final Fantasy Summon, given a simple instruction: Eliminate everything on his road with the same cold efficiency as a walking nuclear weapon.

Dark Ages' story? There. Granted, it's mostly epic backdrop, blending dark fantasy with science fiction while taking a Bonkers WatchMojo from the video “Top 10 Crazy Destructive Killer Killer” to the next. In the outstanding sequence that lets me sit in a chair, Doom Killer drives a giant mecha Pacific Rim Veterans – Riding on the back of a cybernetic dragon with a matching gun, it looks like it is lifted straight from the metal album cover.

Even surpass Dark AgesIts huge kit glasses, its instant gameplay is pure old-fashioned game happiness. Throughout the 22 levels of the game, crazy players run and guns pass through demons’ ambush, grab shields, ammunition and health potions to litter on the battlefield, or as an incentive to tear and tear the demons apart with their exposed hands.

Battles and platforms will ignite every neuron in the brain

Despite the sheer chaos Dark Ages“The environment, its battles are where they are truly glowing, offers a lot of strategies under madness. As its killer box art suggests, Doom Killer fights demons with guns falling from the sky like a track supply capsule, ensuring that each battle is like an escalating arms race in the backfoot hell. New weapons enter your arsenal at all levels, allowing customization and fluid switching through the weapon wheel. After adapting to the speed and cruelty needed to survive as a destruction athlete, I found myself enjoying the following weapons:

  • Grenade Launcher: Great for starting and ending battles, providing fast and efficient crowd control like Junkrat Overwatch 2.
  • Impaler: Needle-and-line guns are perfect for ranged enemies and stacked and damaged before detonating with a shield.
  • Accelerator: A sensory weapon HaloPlasma pistol that provides accurate and original stop power

Another surprising part Dark AgesWhen fighting meets the battle, it is an exciting battle, and it is an environmental problem on the platform. I found it Dark Ages Emphasize that by strongly encouraging exploration to explore the same mind as its experimental offerings for combat combinations to stop and smell the rose. Exploration is vigorously promoted, and Dark Ages Continuing the series’ map implementation, which cleverly separates the tough progress from the side content of the icons and markers to upgrade hidden items like gold and gems is a godsend, which makes it easy to go backwards and then add upgrades, lower upgrades, code entries, or skins without losing momentum. I found it was a perfect blend of games about killing demons and a curiosity-driven exploration.

Then there is the Shield Saw – a new weapon Dark Ages I doubt it's appropriate doomFPS battle. But once I got it, it became my favorite weapon in stock.

Shield Saw is my new best friend

Although I was initially worried about whether the game's shield implementation would get stuck in a blitz, it quickly became my favorite weapon in the game. Not only because it saves a lot on my butt while it is sticky, but also adds more texture to it in the gameplay. The shield saw is not only a blockade of oncoming sword slashes and fireballs. It can also serve as a tool similar to Mjolnir, allowing you to grab secret areas to discover treasures, rush into enemies with shields or ricochet to overheat their shields from hail from the gunshots of the Destroyer. My favorite shield use case so far is its perfect parrot.

Just like in Sandfall Interactive Claire Momod: Adventure 33,,,,, Dark AgesShield sees turning parryers into a high-stakes rhythm game, rewarding players looking for greeting green fireballs and sword slashes and sending them back to the enemy. Even if I was unhappy in a cruel boss fight or struggled uphill in a handicap battle, the scheduled timing could have Parry turn the tide around and achieved a satisfying original victory in an otherwise impossible battle. this DMC My Sicko fell in love with the sheer Royal Guard style power seen by the Shield, making me stunlock my enemies in the most rude way.

While melee combat in some games goes backwards, it's everything, not only out of style, but also to survive. Land the savage face fists (or maces) with foamy balls, shields and ammunition kill the Destroyer like a vacuum. The game rewards ruthless aggression, encourages players to embrace chaos, chain glory kills when possible, and takes the dominance of the battlefield rather than hiding behind covers and playing safely.

The music has not been completely disappointed

Strangely, my biggest pain with the game is its soundtrack. It never hits the same as I wanted. While it does a great job of emphasizing the sleeper of the game, it never quite amplifies the boss of gunfights, shield throws and eyebrows raised, which reveals the way I think this should be done. If anything, it didn't notice the more I played. Even a newbie, it shocked me.

For hours, I hardly noticed the music rising before the fight, like it was struggling to surpass its weight (more than I did in the boss fight) to match the on-screen insanity. Complete the action (to Border 3,,,,, Halo War 2and Callisto protocol) makes up the soundtrack, but in similar games Dark Agesmusic needs to be a driving force, not just background noise. Finally, I change Dark Ages'The music volume drops and explodes Gordon's Old Tracks Make up for what the game lacks.

Comprehensive, Doom: The Dark Ages It's an exciting genre mash-up and an incredible entrance to the franchise that has won over the past 30 years and I'm glad I stopped sleeping.
