Bluesky is testing “live-field” features with streamers and NBA

Bluesky does not have its own live streaming feature, but the service has tested a new feature to improve users' streaming streaming. The company allows the Select account to link its Twitch or YouTube account to its profile, which will display a red indicator and a “live” badge when actively streaming.
In the update, Bruinsky described the feature as an “early test” that could initially be used before a “few accounts” before a wider launch. “The Blues are a place for news and real-time updates,” the company said. “The tool supports streamers, journalists and anyone who shares the moments on the scene.”
The update comes a day after the service shows off to the official NBA Blues account. The Blues capital Rose Wang said the league will apparently direct Blues fans to “the real-time content they are promoting.” Working with the NBA is an interesting move for the Blues. Sports fans, especially NBA fans, have had a huge impact on this. Over the years, the company is now known as X has struck several high-profile deals with the NBA and other major sports leagues to facilitate its content.
It is worth noting that Bruinsky has no advertisements. It uses “real-time” metrics to guide users from platform content, so it is not clear whether there are any business opportunities for the upstart platform that comes with this feature. But it shows that the Blues hopes to play a bigger role in the kind of conversations that once shaped Twitter culture and name itself as a destination that focuses on live events.
