Women disappear in South Wales after two people were arrested on suspicion of murder
Two people were arrested on suspicion of murder after investigating the disappearance of a 37-year-old woman.
Paria Veisi last appeared at around 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, when she left her workplace in the Guangzhou area of Cardiff.
South Wales police have confirmed that her disappearance is now being investigated as a murder.
A 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were both known to have been arrested on suspicion of murder and detained by police.
“I can confirm that the investigation into Paria Veisi's disappearance is now a murder investigation. I have no evidence at the moment that Paria is still alive.”
“Her family and friends are very worried that they have not heard from her that they are completely inconsistent with their personality. Pariya’s family has been told that we are updating them in time.
“We have two people in custody and at this stage we are not looking for others in connection with this investigation.”
Paria is described as long, curly, black hair, wearing a black zippered gym top for the last time, on a red top, black pants and coach.
She drove her car for the last time, a Black Mercedes GLC 200, and was later found on Dorchester Avenue in the Pelleland area on Tuesday night.
The senior investigator added: “Our investigation remains focused on Paria's movement after leaving the Guangzhou area on Saturday, April 12.
“A group of officials is conducting extensive CCTV and House inquiries and I call on anyone with information, no matter how trivial it may seem, to contact.”
