The Nintendo Switch 2 may cost $499. You need to know what it takes to book

As we approach the distance to the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct event on April 2, more details about the company's flagship gaming console release are coming soon. We know nothing about the new Switch game (except for a brief introduction to the new Mario Kart in Revale Trailer), but we do know more about release timing and expected costs.
Nintendo's Switch 2 unveiled in January and doesn't offer the look of the new console. Some have mentioned backward compatible features and hands-on activities for the public to try the console, which will happen around the world.
Bookings have not officially opened and there is no release date, but since the Nintendo announcement, information and rumors about the launch conference have been lost.

Where can I book the switch 2?
So far, Best Buy is the only retailer that confirms it will make pre-orders for the Switch 2. There is already a page dedicated to Switch 2, and those interested can submit emails to get notifications about when it will be available.
At some point in the near future, other retailers may switch 2 reservations.

How much does the Switch 2 cost?
This is another detail that Nintendo has not announced yet. The original switch was launched for $299, but considering that the OLED is currently priced at $350, the Switch 2 isn't a big deal.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, some Nintendo analysts now predict that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced at $399 to $499. Analysts expect the Switch 2 chip itself will cost the company $130 to $150.

When will Switch 2 be released?
We may not be sure of this information until after the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct event. However, the above Bloomberg report shows that the new Switch 2 will be released to the public in June 2025, with inventory expected to be between 6 and 8 million consoles. Good luck.
