China says it is ready to join us in “any type of war” with tariffs – the country

The Chinese government is issuing a new warning to U.S. President Donald Trump.
“If war is what the United States wants, whether it is a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we are ready to fight until the end,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on the social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk.
The statement said that the “fentanyl problem” Trump said was the reason for the imposition of tariffs, which was a “fragile excuse to increase tariffs on U.S. imports on China.”
The Chinese government says the United States alone is responsible for resolving the fentanyl crisis within its borders.

“Intimidation will not scare us. Bullying does not work for us. Pressure, coercion or threat is not the right way to deal with China. Anyone who puts the most pressure on China is picking the wrong person and misunderstanding,” a statement from a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
China announced Tuesday that it will impose an additional tariff of up to 15% on imports of major farm products including chicken, pork, soy and beef, and expand controls on doing business with major U.S. companies.

The tariffs announced by the Ministry of Commerce will take effect on March 10, although the goods have been shipped until April 12.
They followed Trump's orders to raise tariffs on imports of Chinese products to 20% across the board.
These are effective Tuesday and are subject to a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico.
