Three people tried to stab, which injured one in Crenshaw High School

Los Angeles police are looking for three people involved in the stabbing incident that took place at Crenshaw High School in southern Los Angeles.

Fire Department spokesman Lindsey Lantz said the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call around 9 a.m. at the Los Angeles School Police Department involving a stabbing in the 5000 block of S. 11th Street in Hyde Park.

Police canceled the emergency call after the victim told the police and they would drive to a local hospital for treatment of the injury, and firefighters and paramedics were heading to the school. Landz didn't know the victim's condition.

Landz didn’t know if the stabbing occurred inside or outside the school, but a school police source told The Times that the stabbing appeared to have occurred in the classroom and the incident is still under investigation. A school police spokesperson was unable to comment immediately.

No other details available immediately.

Times worker Howard Blume contributed to the report.
