Ukrainian architecture in new resort in Sikal Pathian Mountains
Ukraine may be resistant to a full-scale Russian invasion, but a brand new holiday resort is taking shape in the Sikal Pathisian Mountains.
It will offer 25 hotels with over 5,000 rooms in the ski area, set with elevators and a series of ski runs spanning 127 hectares.
The village of Volosyanka, built in the mountainous area here, reaches about 1,200 meters.
Ukraine is in the midst of a war that is still causing civilian casualties, especially in its eastern part, but the resort complex is very close to the Polish border, with few Russian missiles or drone attacks seen in the Carpathian region.
With the support of Austrian experts, the project will cost more than US$1.45 billion.
“The construction of the first hotel building is a strategically important stage in terms of the overall concept of the international resort implementation of the overall concept of the international resort,” Okko Group Boss Vaysl Danylyak said in a statement.
