Spiral shot shape transfer robot moves like an octopus and holds like an elephant

Inspired by nature's most adaptive organisms, Spirobs is a new type of soft robot developed by Chinese scientific and technological researchers. Unlike traditional robotic arms that rely on rigid handshakes, spiral rays can be bent, wrap and adjust their shape to interact more naturally with objects, such as octopus or elephant torso. With a success rate of over 95%, it can handle everything from subtle eggs to 260 times its own weight. Its simple, sport-free design makes it cost-effective, durable and versatile, and has potential healthcare, industrial automation, and even search-wide applications.
