Warriors provide latest on Stephen Curry injury

The Golden State Warriors are still waiting for the return of their franchise cornerstone. Stephen Curry remains sidelined with a right knee injury, and the team confirmed Wednesday that the veteran guard will be reevaluated again in about 10 days as he continues to rehab.
According to the Warriors, Curry was recently examined by medical staff for patellofemoral pain syndrome and a bruised kneecap. The four-time NBA champion continues to improve during his recovery, the team said.
Golden State added that Curry is “making good progress” and has resumed individual on-court workouts. The intensity of these workouts is expected to increase in the coming days as he continues to recover.
However, for now the Warriors will still be without their leader.
Curry was injured on January 30 against the Detroit Pistons and missed the next 15 games.
The absence was immediately felt.
Since Curry went down, the Golden State Warriors have lost three straight games and have an overall record of just 5-10. During this period, the team's offensive performance was very poor, ranking 21st in offensive efficiency, scoring 111.7 points per 100 possessions.
The Warriors currently have a record of 32 wins and 33 losses, ranking 9th in the Western Conference.
While that keeps them within play-off contention, the margin for error continues to shrink as the regular season winds down.
The Golden State Warriors have 17 games left on their schedule, which means Curry's schedule will be crucial in determining whether the team can stabilize its season.
The injury adds to an already difficult year for the team. The Warriors have been sidelined since forward Jimmy Butler suffered a torn ACL on January 19. Meanwhile, offseason acquisition Kristaps Porzingis has appeared in just three games since joining the team.
Whether it's in the play-in round or playoffs, the team's chances of making significant progress may depend on Curry returning to full health.
