Flyers acquire Katchouk, send Schmidt to Wild | TheAHL.com

Philadelphia Flyers acquire forward Boris Kachok Acquired defenseman from Minnesota Wild Roman Schmidt.
Katchouk has played in 29 AHL games this season between the Syracuse Crunch and Iowa Wild, scoring five goals and assisting eight for 13 points. He was previously acquired by Minnesota in a trade with Tampa Bay on December 28, 2025.
The eight-year pro totaled 65 goals and 92 assists for 157 points in 269 AHL games with Iowa State, Syracuse, Rockford and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Kachok, a second-round pick of Tampa Bay in the 2016 NHL Draft, has 15 goals and 21 assists in 179 career NHL games with the Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators, including three games with Tampa Bay this season.
Schmidt, in his second professional season, has one assist in 29 games between Syracuse and Lehigh Valley in the AHL this season. As a rookie, he played 49 games for Syracuse University in the 2024-25 season, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.
Schmidt, Tampa Bay's third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, was acquired by Philadelphia in a trade with the Lightning on December 8, 2025.
