Sharks acquire Brosoit, Allen from Blackhawks TheAHL.com

San Jose Sharks acquire goaltender Laurent Brosuitedefensive player Nolan Allenand was selected in the seventh round of the 2028 NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the defenseman Jack FurlongAdvocate's rights Ryan Ellis and San Jose's 2028 fourth-round pick.
Brosoit returned to AHL Rockford last month after missing the entire 2024-25 season. In six games for Rockford, he compiled a 3-3-0 record with a 3.38 goals-against average and .901 save percentage, scoring a goal on Dec. 12 against Milwaukee.
In 173 career AHL games with Rockford, Henderson, Bakersfield, Oklahoma City and Abbotsford, Brossoit compiled an 80-69-17 record with a 2.74 GAA, .912 save percentage and 11 shutouts.
Brosoit was drafted by Calgary in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Draft and has appeared in 140 NHL games with Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vegas and Chicago, compiling a 64-46-13 record, a 2.64 GAA, a 0.911 save percentage and six shutouts. In 2023, he won the Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights.
The 22-year-old Alan played 29 games for Rockford this season, contributing 2 goals and 4 assists. The third-year pro has appeared in 109 AHL games with the IceHogs over his three career seasons, totaling nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points.
Alan was selected by Chicago with the 32nd overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks in the 2024-25 season and scored 1 goal and 7 assists in 43 games.
Furlong, 21, has two assists in 12 games with the AHL's San Jose Barracuda this season. As a rookie in the 2024-25 season, he had one goal and seven assists in 66 AHL games.
Furlong was selected by the Sharks in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
