Condors' Howard named AHL Player of the Month for December TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts … American Hockey League announced today Bakersfield Condors forward Isaac Howard has been selected as Fortune Tyres 'Looking For More' AHL Player of the Month December.
Each month, the Fortune Tires “Expect More” AHL Player of the Month Award recognizes an outstanding player in the league who has excelled. As the official tire of the AHL, Fortune Tires will donate $500 to the player's charity of choice and $2,500 to the Player of the Year charity, highlighting the company's commitment to excellence and community impact.
Howard played 11 games for the Condors last month, tallying eight goals and eight assists for 16 points, including four separate three-pointers and his first career hat trick.
Howard scored in three consecutive games from Dec. 5-10, then scored the game-winning goal and two assists in an 8-7 overtime win over Tucson on Dec. 13. He had three assists in a 5-4 overtime win over Coachella Valley on Dec. 19, then scored all three of Bakersfield's goals in a 3-2 win over the Firebirds the next night. He ended the month with another win on New Year's Eve in a 7-3 win at Coachella Valley, while also dishing out two assists.
The 21-year-old Howard is a first-year professional player from Hudson, Wisconsin. He has played 16 games for Bakersfield this season, contributing 10 goals and 13 assists, scoring 23 points and a plus-12 rating. In 17 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers, he contributed 2 goals and 1 assist. Howard received the 2024-25 NCAA Hobey Baker Memorial Award as the nation's top men's lacrosse player after leading Michigan State to the Big Ten championship. On July 8, 2025, Howard was acquired by Edmonton in a trade with Tampa Bay, which selected him in the first round (31st overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.
