Griffins' Kosar named November Goaltender of the Year TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts …the American Hockey League announced today Sebastian Cosa Grand Rapids Griffins selected AHL Goaltender of the Month November.
Kosar allowed nine goals on 152 shots in six games he started in November, finishing with a 5-1-0 record, a 1.50 goals-against average and a 0.941 save percentage.
On November 1, Cosa made 24 saves in a 4-2 win over Rockford before being sidelined by injury. He returned to action on Nov. 19 and stopped 24 shots in a 5-1 win over Rockford before ending November with a three-game winning streak that included a 26-save shutout against Iowa State on Nov. 30 to earn conference Player of the Week honors.
Kosar, Detroit's first-round pick (15th overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft, has an 8-1-0 record with two shutouts in nine starts this season and leads the AHL in goals against average (1.56) and save percentage (0.942). The 23-year-old from Hamilton, Ont., has made 93 career appearances for Grand Rapids, compiling a 52-26-14 record, a 2.43 GAA, a .912 save percentage and five shutouts. Kosar has played one game for the Red Wings and earned a win in his NHL debut on December 9, 2024 in Buffalo.
