Barracuda's Chernyshov named November Rookie of the Month | TheAHL.com

Springfield, Massachusetts …American Hockey League announces San Jose Barracuda forward today Igor Chernyshov has been selected as Upper Deck AHL Rookie of the Month November.
Chernyshov has 10 goals, six assists, 16 points and a +8 rating in 13 games, helping San Jose to a 10-1-1 record in November.
Chernyshov scored his first goal of the season in a 2–1 overtime loss to Ontario on November 4, and then scored twice in a 4–3 win over Calgary on November 6. On November 11, his first career hat trick helped the Barracudas defeat Abbotsford 7-0. He scored a shorthanded goal in San Jose's 4-3 overtime victory and also had two power-play assists. Nov. 22 against the Canucks. On November 29, Chernyshov hit his third three-pointer in the team's 4-3 win over Colorado and finished the month with a goal and two assists.
Chernyshov, a second-round pick by the San Jose Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft, has led the Barracudas among the league's rookie leaders with 10 goals and 19 points in 20 games this season. The 20-year-old native of Penza, Russia spent the 2024-25 season with Saginaw (OHL), scoring 55 points in just 23 games before joining the Barracuda for two regular season games and one Calder Cup playoff game.
