The Colorado Eagles have formally reached an agreement with the City of Greeley on the main terms of the 40-year lease on the new stage of the Cascadia development.
The agreement will see the Hawks first enter the hockey game in Greeley when the AHL begins its 2028-29 season, with Colorado continuing to play home games at the Blue Arena before 2027-28.
“We are very pleased to be a host of this world-class facility in partnership with the City of Greeley,” said Eagles' boss and CEO. Martin Lind. “As we wait for the completion of the construction, we are excited to continue to entertain our fans at Blue Arena. We will continue to provide the same great experience as fans have enjoyed over twenty years and are committed to spending their final three seasons at Blue Arena.”
The new 8,600-seat arena is the cornerstone of the Catalyst Project, a project planned for the entertainment area on the west side of Greeley, close to the intersection of Highway 34 and County Road 17. In addition to the three additional ice creams for the arena for youth hockey, Cascadia will also be in the hotel and water parks, conference centers, restaurants as well as RETAIL and your house restaurant and your restaurant and your house, and will also be in the home.
During the construction of the new facility, the Eagles will continue to refer to Blue Arena Home as the “Blue Arena” which plans to play every home game at Ranch Complex in Larimer County before the 2027-28 season.
